很久很久以前，有一个聪明的男孩，名叫司马光。

One day, he played with his little friends in the yard.

有一天，他和小伙伴们在院子里玩耍。

There was a big jar full of water.

院子里有一个装满水的大缸。

Suddenly, a little boy fell into the jar.

突然，一个小男孩不小心掉进了水缸里。

The water was deep. The boy was in danger.

水缸里的水很深，小男孩遇到了危险。

All other kids were very scared.

其他的小朋友都非常害怕。

They cried and ran away quickly.

他们哭着赶紧跑开了。

But Sima Guang did not run.

但是司马光没有跑。

He thought fast and kept calm.

他快速思考，保持冷静。

He saw a big stone on the ground.

他看见地上有一块大石头。

He picked it up and hit the jar hard.

他捡起石头，用力砸向水缸。

The jar broke open, and the water ran out.

水缸破了，里面的水流了出来。

The little boy was saved at last!

落水的小男孩最后得救了！

This story tells us a great lesson.

这个故事告诉我们一个道理。

When we meet problems, don’t be afraid.
