《精卫填海》

Today I want to tell you a Chinese story.

今天我想给大家讲一个中国故事。

Its name is "Jingwei Fills the Sea".

它的名字叫《精卫填海》。

Long long ago, there was a little girl.

很久很久以前，有一个小女孩。

She loved playing by the sea.

她喜欢在海边玩耍。

One day, she had an accident in the sea.

有一天，她在海里遇到了意外。

She turned into a little bird named Jingwei.

她变成了一只名叫精卫的小鸟。

Jingwei felt very sad.

精卫非常伤心。

She did not want other people to get hurt.

她不想让其他人再受到伤害。

So she decided to fill the big sea.

于是她决定填平这片大海。

Every day, Jingwei flew to the mountain.

每一天，精卫都飞到山上。

She took small stones and small branches.

她叼来小小的石头和树枝。

Then she flew back and put them into the sea.

然后飞回来，把它们扔进大海里。

The sea was very big and wide.

大海又大又宽阔。

It was very hard work for the little bird.

对小鸟来说，这是一件非常困难的事。

But Jingwei never gave up.

但是精卫从来没有放弃。

She kept working day after day.

她日复一日地坚持努力。

This story teaches us a great lesson.

这个故事教会我们一个道理。

When we meet hard things, do not stop.

当我们遇到困难，不要停下。

Be brave, keep trying and never give up.

要勇敢、坚持尝试、永不放弃。
