The Boy Who Cried Wolf 狼来了

Today I will tell you a story called The Boy Who Cried Wolf.

今天我要给大家讲一个故事，名叫《狼来了》。

Once upon a time, there was a shepherd boy.

从前，有一个放羊娃。

Every day, he took the sheep to the mountain to graze.

他每天都去山上放羊。

One day, he felt very bored.

一天，他觉得非常无聊。

He wanted to play a trick on the farmers to have fun.

他想了个捉弄农夫们的主意，好让自己开心。

He shouted loudly to the farmers working in the fields below:

他向着山下正在种田的农夫们大声喊：

“Wolf! Wolf! Help!”

“狼来了！狼来了！救命啊！”

When the farmers heard the shout, they hurried up the mountain with hoes and sickles.

农夫们听到喊声，急忙拿着锄头和镰刀往山上跑。

They ran and shouted: “Don’t be afraid, boy! We’ll help you fight the wolf!”

他们边跑边喊：“不要怕，孩子，我们来帮你打恶狼！”

The farmers arrived at the mountain out of breath.

农夫们气喘吁吁地赶到山上。

But they didn’t see a wolf at all!

可他们连狼的影子也没有看到！

The shepherd boy laughed loudly: “How funny! You were tricked!”

放羊娃哈哈大笑：“真有意思，你们上当了！”

The farmers left angrily.

农夫们生气地走了。

The next day, the shepherd boy did the same thing again.

第二天，放羊娃故伎重演。

The kind farmers ran up the mountain again to help him fight the wolf.

善良的农夫们又冲上来帮他打狼。

But there was still no wolf.

可还是没有见到狼的影子。

The shepherd boy laughed so hard that he couldn’t stand straight.

放羊娃笑得直不起腰。

“Haha! You were tricked again! Haha!”

“哈哈！你们又上当了！哈哈！”

The farmers were very angry because the boy lied again and again.

大伙儿对放羊娃一而再再而三地说谎十分生气。

From then on, no one believed his words anymore.

从此再也不相信他的话了。

A few days later, a wolf really came.

过了几天，狼真的来了。

It rushed into the flock suddenly.

它一下子闯进了羊群。

The shepherd boy was very afraid.

放羊娃害怕极了。

He shouted to the farmers as hard as he could:

他拼命地向农夫们喊：

“Wolf! Wolf! Help! The wolf is really here!”

“狼来了！狼来了！快救命呀！狼真的来了！”

When the farmers heard his shout, they thought he was lying again.

农夫们听到他的喊声，以为他又在说谎。

No one paid attention to him, and no one went to help him.

大家都不理睬他，没有人去帮他。

In the end, many sheep were killed by the wolf.

结果许多羊都被狼咬死了。

This story tells us: Don’t tell lies.

这个故事告诉我们：不要说谎。

If you lie often, no one will believe you when you tell the truth.

经常说谎的人，当你说真话时，也没有人会相信你。
